I figured I ought to share this. Odd found it, Aelita liked the soundtrack, and I... well, it's practically ancient science fiction. How could I not save it here?
( Aelita: Queen of Mars, the seven-minute version ) Apparently Russian men kiss very well... and I wonder, was our Aelita named after this one? All things considered, I wouldn't be surprised.... :: +Memory :: Tell a Friend :: 11 replies :: Reply I've gained an ally in Karen, hopefully. I'm glad she didn't call me crazy... it's odd. She reminds me of Sissi, only not bent on making life impossible for everyone.
Thinking back, I can't help but wonder if maybe we should've brought her in after that first night... she wasn't completely useless. Just mostly. (And Odd said she helped him out during the snowman incident last Christmas, even distracted her dad so he could sneak back into school.) To bring her in now, though - it's impossible. She's too popular, she'd let it spill to somebody... and then the US military would come in for what has to be theirs. (There's no way we could have commissioned something like the supercomputer, ten years ago. Eleven, now. I need to remember that.) [PUBLIC] To those of you who are past 2005 - is this true? I've got a friend who has friends in some of the poorer neighborhoods. (They're Odd's skateboarding crew, not really any friends of mine, but still....) [/PUBLIC] Going back to the church I didn't believe in for most of my life, and then...
...but what else can you do? Prayer seems the only resort, in this situation. ((Note to Izzy-mun: I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL HAVE AN RL POST UP TOMORROW. I'm so sorry.)) I blame Jordan and Orlando. XD
Jeremie: Desra, a tiger. (Modest, solitary, assertive, flexible, and responsible. I'm not seeing how "flexible" fits him, but....) Sam: Thalius, a honeybee. (Sociable, competitive, responsible, shy, and humble. Erm. Yes, yes, yes, no, and no.) Okay. On Eva's, I gave mostly flippant little answers to the question "What don't they know about her?" simply because I'm embarrassed at how much thought I've put into her. I would have done the same for Jeremie, but unfortunately it's proved nigh-impossible for me to be flippant where Hacker Shota's concerned. Due to the lack of backstory given in his canon, this is entirely headcanon (okay, there're two exceptions).
( She does this for a guy from a kids' show?! ) She prays. Even after everything, even with what we face on an almost daily basis, she prays.
I'm wrong to think it's - no, I can't even type that out. What if I'm the one who's wrong? Mère de Dieu, Aelita, pourquoi devez-vous être si humain? ((I'm pretty sure "Mère de Dieu" isn't idiomatically correct... but as I haven't yet started formally taking French, I used babelfish. I'm sorry!)) I never thought I'd say this about an earache-causing bacterium, but... look how cute it is!
And they have the flu, too! And so many others! ((Backdated to 25 January))
The Factory has obviously been abandoned for some time. A high, cathedralesque ceiling vaults above; the metal beams holding this place together and up all show signs of wear and rust. If you look up and around, you should be able to see a broken-off staircase dangling down from a clerestory level to thin air, some small distance away. The fact that the elevator Odd Della Robbia currently stands outside is still functional is extremely suspicious; the fact that it's in good repair, even more so. Even next to the strangely well-maintained elevator, he looks highly out of place amongst the gloom. He looks like he feels out of place. But it's not every day that one of your best friends cracks and decides to use the tactics of the Evil Computer Thing you fight on a regular basis, so who could blame him? ((I'm so sorry that this is so obscenely late, guys. Also, I'm sorry for my opening post of epic fail... I'm just not used to setting scenes up. Sorry. I'll be replying to comments with this journal, even though it's Odd who'll be doing most of the talking until everyone's arrived... and I have no idea what else to add.)) Does anyone know how to deal with migraines? I know looking at a glowing screen isn't helping any, but... ugh. My head hurts to the point where I'm nauseous, this is keeping me from throwing up.
Help. Please. For the love of all that's just. Damn it. DAMN IT. I just... god damn it, I can't take it anymore!
I'm sorry, David. I can't stand by anymore. |
